What Does Running With Toes Pointing Outward Mean

"Destination" from Disney and Dalí

Recently a dear friend sent me an interesting video.

is the only joint work of two great artists, located in the most extreme one can imagine: Salvador Dalí , The famous English surrealist painter, author of immortal pictures as " The Persistence of Memory " or " The San Antonio temptations" and Walt Disney , the famous cartoonist and animator esatadounidense, among other operator Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy .

For me it was a pleasant surprise, because he was unaware of its existence and never thought I'd see so crazy association (and I say "crazy" in the best meanings of the word, if they fit) because the company made by both it shows the correct and balanced relationship in the two art styles, so different yes, but beautifully harmonized, giving the viewer a very positive feeling to the point of fascination, because as the view looking at the work is a sequence of pictures telling a shower where one can distinguish what works elegantly and Disney Why is Dali, and realize that none of this is superimposed as a terrible evil Baroque improvised, but beautifully riots as only two artists would know it.

video description on YouTube reads:

" In 1946, Walt Disney commissioned Salvador Dali animated short film based on the song Destiny, the Mexican Armando Domínguez [Note: it's really Alberto Domínguez] . The film, about six minutes long, had to combine ballet and drawings, and should be part of a film of short stories. But the project ultimately was cut short. The hundreds of scenes, drawings and paintings that Dalí made in person have remained hidden for over half a century. Now [in 2003, almost 58 years later] the grandson of Walt Disney, Roy Disney and producer Baker Bloodworth have made the short following the instructions and the preparatory sketches of the artist. Awarded Best Short Film at the Melbourne Film Festival and the Rhode Island International United States Film Festival, The film was nominated for an Oscar in the animated shorts category . "

is a pity that was not made public before, and its creators could see public opinion. Mine is simply the best I could have.

Finally here is the video:

Music is the Mexican composer Alberto Dominguez , author of the famous bolero "Perfidia" and "Frenzy" and the title song and background is another of his great boleros. The English can be heard perfectly here, played by Alfredo Sadel with La Rondalla Venezolana.

I hope you liked this review.

Thanks for reading!
